THE GILEAD HOUSE, was established to provide residential day training, vocational training, supported employment, care and supervision for individuals with moderate to severe behavior needs.
Our facility operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, which targets individuals with developmental disabilities, having moderate to severe behavior and communication needs, age 16-adulthood. Disabilities includes; autism, mental retardation, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Dual Diagnosis (Mental Retardation and Mental Illness).
These individuals may require intensive behavior management therapy, or other appropriate services to address maladaptive behavior. The facility program provides a normalized, home-like environment along with vocational training to assist clients in developing their intellectual, social and emotional capabilities.
To build the skills of individuals with varying abilities and developmental needs by providing, within a safe haven, comprehensive clinical treatment, vocational training and work opportunities in order to achieve meaningful and productive lives.
Our vision is to create an inclusive atmosphere in which all individuals can develop the skills necessary for self-determined living in order to realize their capacity for autonomy, productivity, and meaningful relationships. Our residential habilitation facility will provide a safe and nurturing environment that enables individuals to reach their fullest potential through a holistic approach that focuses on optimizing the individual's cognitive, physical, psychological, and social functioning.

Providing supervision and specific training activities that assist the recipient to acquire, maintain, or improve skills related to activities of daily living.
Providing assistance and training to the recipient in activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and preparation of meals.
Provided to assist recipients to learn new, or increase existing, functionally equivalent replacement skills directly related to existing challenging behaviors.
